I'm getting ready to shoot in job out of the country and need to figure out how to charge more than one RedVolt at a time (going to be shooting a lot of handheld and need the camera to be as light as possible... so I don't want to use bricks).
I can either rent several more single redvolt chargers or perhaps there's a quad charger that will work (does it exist) ?
Also - the problem with renting RedVolt batteries and chargers is that (I'm assuming) since they only exist in limited quantity that rental houses aren't going to want to let them go without the epic (which I already have)...
hmmm

quad charger does exist.. just not for sale yet.

He must have missed, I know this babies can't come soon in off for us as well... ;)

Wooden Camera Quickback with Anton Bauer plate plus Dionic HC= very lightweight with much longer runtimes and shorter charging times (Tm4 charger).

I've gone with that set up, works fine, though I'm still interested in the form factor of the quad unit, which will of course need the quad charger to be at all practical.
It would be great to hear a real time frame from Red.

Soooo slow

I'm pretty sure that setup will charge at the same rate as the quad charger. Could be wrong though, but I think the speed of the quad charger comes from the fact that it charges all 4 REDVOLTS at the same time. I'm more interested in the quad charger's ability to keep those unruly cord octopi off set :)

It would be great to hear from RED on the details of the Quad Charger... how long does it take to charge 4 batteries at once?

Hi Jarred,
Would you be so kind and post the dimensions on this Quad Charger, also if possible the Quad and Dual modules?
We are planning the cases so this would help alot :-)

Timeline for the Quad charger is tough... there are a ton of regulations and testing we go through with battery stuff with time frames outside of our company so we cannot control it. Manufacturing isn't an issue... and we have already starting building them as reported in an early backorder update. Likely a couple more months till they can go on sale.

Love the redvolt concept. Hope you guys develop technology that can cram up a bit more power in the regular redvolt non XL form factor so that the side handle can hold up that tiny bit more power. Cannot help but to once again state my excitement for the dual module: this will be the ideal solution for most shooting situations- and with the XL batteries, I think it will be another small but very significant revolution on the Red production workflow!

Do the Redvolt XLs still exist, and can they be charged on the Quad charger?
