  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

EPIC... ready.

Tattoo (+13) will not be for sale. These will go on selected projects while production EPICs are being staged to be built. We need to watch over the Tattoo +13's carefully.

OffHollywood, and everyone else, will get the same Stage 2 production EPICs.

Jim

Makes total sense! I'm so glad to hear Tattoo is ready to go!!! Very much looking forward to hearing the feedback received as Tattoo gets used on production.

So since Offhollywood is #5/6 and I'm #27, maybe I can expect mine on the same night he gets his? :-)

Shawn... you definitely are one of the 1st. :-)

Any idea when you will know which accessories and modules will be ready at launch ( PRO I/O, Red Station, SSDs, lens mounts, etc.)? Or when they will be released? Also, now that you have the final production build locked, will you be finalizing things that have been talked about, like cables that remotely connect modules to brains and such? I imagine along the way you've invented a lot of other mind-blowing pieces of milled and polished magic that will now have time to come to life and be released as well.

Lastly, what is the best way to get access to the Epic's API to start building some cool new software to communicate with the brains?

What is the current boot time? Also, will the EPIC have to go through the kind of FCC scrutiny that the RED Stations have gone through?

Man, I'm so proud of you guys...

18.000 parts is really stunning. Through how many hands will an Epic have gone until it is in the hand of its owner? Do you have an estimate yet?

Congratulations, it's wonderful when challenging goals are set and one eventually also gets there! Creates definitely a feeling of miraculous life.

I was about to go to bed, but thought I should check the site since I hadn't today.

Now I don't want to go to sleep. :biggrinjester:

Congratulations again to Jim, Jarred, and Company!

I am happy that you're able to accomplish what you set out to do, and so much more!

Wow. Congratulations Jim & Team, from the bottom of my heart. Its been a long time between drinks, but I knew you guys would make it!

Look forward to shooting with it!

There were 2 great things that I saw happen this week.

The first you just read about.

The second was witnessing just how strong our team has become over the last 3 years. We have always been able to move mountains, but now we are moving them in days instead of months. This week we had a pretty long list of incredibly difficult items on the todo list.. and each and every one of them were scratched out by the end of the day today.

Many of you have heard Jim say that we have learned just enough to be dangerous.. those words have never been so true.

Look out.

Great news to wake up to. Congratulations to all involved.

Great news Jim, thanks to all at RED for all the hard work
