  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

EPIC OUTFITTING - POST YOUR EPIC RIGS WITH DETAILS PLEASE

Yesterday's rig :-)

I think the camera's aimed the wrong way... Or are those the ACs?

Shoulder, handheld and milo and then also our new custom "Epic - Milo 19mm rod head". Have not used it so far but it's nice, since it puts the camera/lens in perfect nodal on all axis i.e roll, pan and also tilt.

This setup seems to cover me quite well. - CinemaOxide bottom plate for my 19mm bottom rails, CinemaOxide top mount adapter for my top 19mm rails, and CinemaOxide battery plate adapter for my Red Brick. Lightweight, versatile with lots of cheeseplate holes and its relatively inexpensive.

Bjorn - what's the little mic shockmount setup you've got going there? Looking for a nice compact sync track setup like that...

Here´s our Rig.

Epic X with Side Handle, FMJ Top Plate 2 x WC Safety Swat Rail on left & right side and Red Pro Swat Rail on Top, Top Handle w. 5" LCD, QR Plate, 19mm DSMC Universal Mounts (2x), VF APU IDX Plate, Bomb EVF with Spinner, Arri FF3, Arri MB 20 II, UltraRods 8", Red Pro Prime 50mm.

Epic rig

Epic rig

Here's our rig. Studio-style except for the last photo, which was slightly more run and gun (for a primarily studio style rig). Still waiting on a few accessories, but it's a pretty solid and simple setup. Brook's FMJ rig and battery plate, element technica EVF mount. Top handle is off in this configruation, but you'll notice it on (with the EVF removed) in the alternate setup. We're still trying to figure out the perfect balance to have both EVF, LCD and top handle.
