  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Very cool! I've been planning on doing something similar - but with the camera looking birds eye over a dance floor, from balcony across the room. Doesn't look... too scary.

nice...seems a great tool for this camera.
thanks for sharing.
cheers

There is a great cable shot like that in Sergei Bondarchuk's huge epic of War and Peace in the big battle scene. It swoops across the trenches at great speed, through fire, right across the action. I don't know how the camera survived, but clearly a lot of horses didn't.

Here is the actually production that we did the cable test for, the DP on the job insisted on alexa so we don't have any nice "epic" BTS shots. however we shot the actuall packshot with your milo and epic. So it is a mix camera production....

I guess I do not need to tell you how much better the Epic material holds up in HD when it scaled around to be stabilized compared to the soft alexa pix. The factor is just as the resolution X6 no doubt.

and here is the BTC pack picture..

Wow Björn - pretty cool. Fredrik usually does some quite elaborate stuff but that one takes the price :-) Would be fun to see some BTS on that.

Nice, Here is another cable thingy I did together with Fredrik Callingard.

it's 2 cables cam moves stitched with 3 steady cam moves... It came with a few quite challanging post issues to say the least. :)

This is amazing! Would love to know the process that goes into making something like this work on the post side!

Coolt :) Behöver ni en Epic till eller en insnöad red-tekniker så ring mäj.

This is a quite fun "Before/after film" from the same production.

As it clearly shows that Christmas is not what it used to be... Fake snow, fake buildings, fake everything. All shot in a grumpy old studio in the former SovjetUnion in lack of swedish snow and sour economy :)
