This is what is getting done to the Epic M cameras going in for the upgrade:

[TD]Highlights of the EPIC-M Upgrade Program include:
  • New heatsink - Same thermal characteristics as prior version, but saves about a half-pound of weight from the original EPIC-M heatsink
  • Internal board upgrades
  • Improved REDlink antenna
  • OLPF port bushing
  • New exterior mechanicals including top that provides additional mounting points
  • Improved fan

I received my upgrade notice today. So Red must be expanding the first wave due to people not being able to send thiers in right away.

Paul, what SN are you? I'm just trying to get a sense where I am in line. Looks like I will need the electronics upgrade to enable phantom power on this latest build.

SN 567. But they are not going by serial number. They are going by ship date. Mine was late May 2011.

Will be great to get phantom power. Hope I can drop it off in June as I´m going on a 3 week shoot without my EPIC. Would be great to come back to a new camera!

Yeah serial number order is funky. I'm #825... April '11

Got mine today too.. SN 1261/887

887 was stolen, but purchased last year I think in AUG??

How long does the upgrade process take? I keep my camera busy on shoots and would like to get an idea of the downtime to expect. I am local in LA so camera won't have to travel far.
