if you can get an epic, you can get a set of arri primes.. I dont think epic is intended towards the contax nikon boys.
But then again I dont see why third party co. wont create mounts of that sort for epic,.
Okay. Now for a serious question.
Since the sensor on the EPIC is bigger than the sensor on the Red, how will that affect focal length when using same lenses on both cameras? Will there be any issues with intermixing footage shot with same lens on both cameras? In other words, if I shoot with a 75mm lens at 4k on the Red and then use the same 75mm lens at 4k on the Epic, will the image from the EPIC be at an increased zoom level?
Please advise,
-shooter

Remember nikon makes not only fantastic zooms, but also some of the best tele's in the world, used by many filmakers. That's why Red also provides a Nikon mount for everybody who wish to use them, and not only for jerks and mythical silly Nikon fanatics; and there is nothing wrong or unreal with it. It's an excellent option indeed that comes extremely handy because you may find Nikon lenses also in an arctic base or in a camera shop in a village upon the swamp, should you suddenly loose or be not comfortable or not able to carry your big and precious Arri set case."I dont think epic is intended towards the contax nikon boys."
Why would I want a set of ARRIS when I can get a set of Red primes?
They are also both T1.9. ...
