EPIC frame rates...

[Jannard]

Just for reference, these are the frame rate specs for EPIC (all shown widescreen except QuadHD and 720P).

5k 2.40 = 120
QuadHD = 120
4k 2.40 = 150
3k 2.40 = 200
2k 2.40 = 300
720P = 360

[Russ Lasson]

300+!!! Are these frame rates supported in the current firmware?

Thanks and looking forward to NAB!

Russ

[Tom Lowe]

Nice! 4K 16:9 is of interest.

[Robert Frank]

Thanks Jim!

[Michael Thornton]

Wow, I can't wait to put it in actions.

You guys have out done yourself.

Congratulation RED.

[Michael Millichamp]

Im assuming that this is just the Epic M and X and not S?

[R. Gonzales]

300 fps at 720p? wow thats completely unexpected but cool!

[Tyler Bourns]

Whoah!! That is absolutely amazing. Looking forward to hearing more on Monday. Thanks Jim, it's amazing how the entire Red team consistently exceeds everyone's already high expectations

[Stephen Pruitt]

Are these rates continuous shooting? Or just a burst mode?

Stephen

[Imran Farouk]

LOVING THE 2K FPS... 300 is brilliant!
Can't imagine needing anymore...

now...all I need is cam in hand,

looking forward to hear the timelapse capabilities though, I've no doubt RED will go above and beyond on the timelapse side...

[IAN SUN]

360 @ 720! I love you guys for trowing that in.

This meets my original speculation for top frame rates.

This Camera get more mind blowing by the day. Can't wait to see some of that footage.

[Pietro Impagliazzo]

Monstro = Phantom?

[Raphael Varandas]

Holly Macro!

[Justin O'Neill]

Did we just get an extra 75fps @2k for free out of the blue?? And 200fps @3k? That will be some amazingly sharp slow mo when downrezzed to HD.

[Elsie N]

Those are some impressive frame rates! But I'm wondering how they affect battery drain? Anyone done any tests?

[dj ditt]

I know it's been said before RED is not on the market to compete with a Phantom style camera, but the more fps options the better. I'm a fan of high frames rates, but used correctly and in moderation. This is really cool. I hope the Scarlet will get some interesting frame rates...

[Mike Prevette]

So Awesome! I'm getting itchy for Epic.

Any chance we can get 16x9 numbers?

[Deanan]

Are these rates continuous shooting? Or just a burst mode?

Stephen

Continuous.

[Antonio Forjaz]

Wow, this is a surprise... Great frame rates...much more than I was expecting...250 was max I was expecting at any frame size

Thanks so much....:emote_happyhappy:

Now, I hope those 18 parts that are missing will be available soon
