  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

EPIC frame rates...

Waiting for NAB is like 360fps !

Thanks for the info. Going to mix those frame rates with some ridiculous action for some mind melting footage.
So Stoked!

Back in the day, I owned a Photosonics Actionmaster 500. This shit is straight up awesome. Tank you mister Jannard

What compression are those numbers at?

2k 2.40:1 at 300fps is approx RC5:1.
Don't have time at the moment to pull numbers for everything else.
They're also not hard system limitations like on Red One... so things can change :)

Is speed ramping still on the cards? Easy to do? Thanks

I made this video about 3 years ago on my sony handycam using its 240fps burst mode. great fun to say the least. im pretty sure i slowed down the 60i footage further in premiere but its amazing what can be done with those frame rates at your disposal

the only problem with my cam was that the resolution is decreased quite a bit - so a proper 2k @ 300fps is just ludicrous.

Jim is there any burst mode on the epic? - maybe hit 400 in 720p?

Wow!!!!!

Ahhh!! I love this news!!!

Jim, could we get a 2590x1080p (2.4:1 @ 2.5k)? Seems that'd be right around 250fps and yet would give a nice little cushion for down-rezzing to 1920x800.

You can have anything you want... :-)
