Hey guys,

Does anybody knows what cameras they use on Entourage and Curb? I'm looking for this info for years...

Thanks!

I was tempted to use Let Me Google That For You, but have decided to take the high road.

Technical Specifications
Color info: Color
Sound mix: Stereo
Camera: Arricam ST
Laboratory: FotoKem Laboratory, Burbank (CA), USA
Negative format: 35 mm
Printed format: Video (HDTV)
Aspect ratio: 1.78 : 1

I'm pretty sure that Curb uses digital, and they only used 35 for the Sienfeld reunion episode (selected scenes).

curb is deff digital probably f900.

"Entourage" was shot on film until the last season when the switched to Sony F23's.

"Curb" is shot on the Varicam.

Both of these statements are incorrect. Entourage has never been on anything but 35mm film including this past season. Curb Your Enthusiasm's most recent season (the first one in HD) was shot on Sony HDW-650P cameras. They looked at the Varicam, but wanted to continue with a tape based workflow, as they had on previous seasons that were in standard definition. The 650P is basically the same camera head as the XDCam 800, but with an HDCam recorder.

Mr. Most is correct, "Entourage" has always been on 35 mm. and the past few seasons we have used Arricam LT's and Cooke lenses from Otto Nemenz.

I should add to what Mike says above that the look on Curbed has gotten much better over the last 5-6 years. The first seasons were awful; the most recent season in HD has looked damn near beautiful. Very nice work from DP Bill Sheehy and crew.
