  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Element EVF Mount

As many have noticed Jarred and the gang have a fancy (side adjustable) EVF-Mount interface while everyone else has a low-profile (not as fancy) interface.

We experimented with a bunch of different ways to connect our EVF mount to the RED One. As part of the experiment we decided to ship both versions with the first 100 EVF mounts and find out which one you guys like better. Unfortunately the side adjustable version wasn't ready when the rest of the EVF mount was so we shipped with what we had. The low profile interface is fully functional and puts the EVF very close to the camera body but requires tools to move it side to side, swap sides or move it toward the rear. It can be mounted to the front or top of either style of top rod mount.

The side adjustable version is a little taller but as the name implies you can quickly adjust the EVF left or right , swap sides or shift everything rearward; all without tools. The only time it requires tools is to move the interface from the front top mount to the rear. (choose left or right eye viewing on either side of camera)
Don't worry, in about a week we will begin shipping the fancy version to everyone on the list of 100 brave souls who took a chance on our EVF mount with very little information to go on. Thanks for the support and let us know which one you like.

Sure! But what about a RED ONE Elite - with a carbon fibre body? Wouldn't require so much :weight_lift:

Kelly got out a batch of emails to people yesterday and will get out another batch of emails on Monday. Alex, Greg...you will be wanting to keep an eye on your Inbox throughout the day (hint, hint)....

As I posted in other spots, EVFs are like cameras - you can't assume if person got (number x) yesterday, it means it was the last number delivered. We only ship to people once they have paid, if they don't pay (or are already paid up) when their number is up, there will be numbers after them who do ship before them if those numbers have paid up.

Like Jarred said, we have EVFs boxed up or delivered already for about the first 100 serial number owners. Each day we will get out a batch. Kelly sent emails to a batch yesterday and she'll send out another email on Monday.

But the best news - production has ramped up for March deliveries (as promised) so we should be get out batches of EVFs almost daily.

thanks, i was stupidly looking on the Red store along with the other Red ET products.

At that price I think I'll put up with the arm. wow, thats a killer (for me anyway).

i just got the email about EVF for Red 103 this AM ...
