  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Ed Lachman EL Zone System

It's coming to PageOS 5 for SmallHD cameras. It is log dependent and would be a nice addition. However, I strongly would like to see Gioscope first. It also uses stops, reads the actual sensor data, and informs clearly on crush and clipping exposure data.

seconded gioscope addition. it was the best exposure tool on dsmc2.

The Ed Lachman Zone System can also be found along with guides in post inside of LOOK DESIGNER.

whoa....Look Designer scores big, in my book. Sadly, it's not worth it to me for a pricey subscription model. And, SMALLHD? I dunno...I don't like to rely on a pricey 3rd party monitor/recorder, especially SMALLHD, to get that feature.
I just got an email from "Time in Pixels" They've implemented Ed Lachman Zone System, but, are waiting on licensing issues.

Bill,

Yeah it is a little pricey, I purchased the perpetual license , but I'm using it enough to make it worth it. Hopefully either Red will implement this in a future firmware update as you have asked or some third party offers a reasonably priced OFX or DTCL plugin that supports the Ed Lachman Zone System.
