I talked with 16x9, Inc. and they are working on putting together another group buy exclusively for us Redusers. I figured with the recent influx of Red Ones back into the wild, the timing is very good for everyone.

I certainly know I want one regardless of my recent BT Red One purchase as I could already use it with my heavy Scarlet setup! Plus, I often work with heavy shoulder rigs and think this is by far the best longterm health option in regards to my back, shoulders, and neck!

Please chime in if you are interested in possibly getting in on the deal. We need at least 10 people willing to buy to be eligible for the first discount, and I believe 15 to reach the maximum group buy discount.

So the more people that buy the cheaper we can get them!

They said ALL will be eligible. Only a certain number have to be ordered to enable the group discount. We can buy any model we want to. I believe that means yours can be different from mine, etc.

I would be interested. What are the details and process? What kind of discounts?

Very interested. Mainly in something to hold the 15-20 pound range.
Keep me updated.

We shall know in the next day or so...possibly today. The minute I hear something I will provide an update :)

I would be very interested, been debating whether to order a Cinema 3 400N or 500N for Epic. Would definitely want the extended, adjustable post version (don't know the proper name but allows you to get the camera further from your body than the original / standard post designed for shoulder shooting)

interested.

Here is the info I have received:

Minimum Group buy needs to be 10 units sold. If we hit 15 units sold, there will be an additional discount of 5%. The additional discount will be effective retroactively; meaning, if you are the first 10 buyers, you will receice a credit card credit of 5% once we hit 15 buyers.

I opted for an alternative solution as the increase in easyrig prices was too much for me. If some one wants to take the bull by the horns and continue this group buy please contact Michael Ibanez at 16x9, inc. michael(at)16x9inc.com

I am sure he will still accommodate a group buy if enough people are interested.

Thanks,
AJ

Hey Adam,
Interested in knowing what alternative you went with? I would love the easyrig but i'm not looking to spend over 3k right now... Thanks!

I'm still game for this, can we get a show of hands as to who is interested after seeing the prices?

A much cheaper alternative that should be equal in quality to the Easyrig. I Will give full details and review once it is received. The man behind this Easyrig is a badass and he makes some awesome stuff :)
