Quick question
Panavision website says the native ISO on the DXL2 is 1600 .

I am aware that red hammers the fact that there is in fact no native iso but rather suggests a starting point of 800 .

I’m a bit confused as to why a panavision has taken such a different approach to explaining they’re iso given they are using the same Monstro sensor .

Also does anyone know if the dxl2 meters in calibration 2 or 1 ?

meaning is iso 800 in calibration 2 on monstro the same as dxl2 at 1600 .

thanks !

Yes DXL2 at ISO 1600 should be the same as ISO 800 using DSMC2 cameras with ISO Cal 2. It's more of a timeline thing. DXL's chosen pathway was this and it was before ISO Cal 2 was deployed.

Likely an additional factor. If you are working with both systems on a production take special care to see which OLPF is being used in camera. Most DXL2 shoots utilize the Low Light Optimized OLPF.
