  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

DSMC2 Release Build v7.1.0.1

does this update do anything for raven and SW cameras?
has anyone with those cameras updated and have any reports?

Installed, and seems fine so far !
Just the Red blinking light when using Bebob V-mount batteries, but that's a known issue and hopefully will get fixed soon.
Sigma EF lenses seem to be working fine.

And the "low power alert" is a nice addition, was hoping for that one for a long time :)

Thanks !

which camera did you install it on?

Is there any way to override the low voltage auto shutoff? Unfortunately my tilta cage also has issues.

mind have the same issue. low voltage auto shut down with wooden camera v mount plat. I did open the and see if there a SD card reader for firmware update, but sadly No. have a shoot in next 2 days. :(

Is there a problem with this firmware's compatibility with Element Technica V-Lock Module? Previous build works just fine and this one causes battery info display to juggle between 0 Voltage and the right amount (tried on different V-locks). Other than that camera works just fine - boots OK, records OK. When you plug DC-In and go into battery info, rear V-mount module shows the right voltage (no more switching between eg. 0 and 15.8V). Any ideas?

On my Epic-W, I switched from Canon AL to Canon TI Mount and that last one wasn't recognized, no way to control the iris of any of my Canon lenses.
I restaure the settings to defaults and it was still not doing it so I re-installed the firmware and now, none of my Canon mounts are working...
Both of them worked perfectly on the previous build and on the RC...
Any idea or suggestion on what to do before getting in touch with support?

Try going to Menu - Settings - Maintenance - Rediscover. I would start there first.

Unfortunately, it didn't work... Support, here I come...

Edit: Rolled back to previous firmware, mount still not recognize, unmount it, remount it, recognize, updated to the last firmware and everything works like a charm again... No explanation but at least no drama...

Hello: I updated my WC battery plate using both versions of the firmware that Wooden Camera provided. However, neither works and my camera just shuts down...

Did my first shoot with the new build yesterday. No issues! Took some getting used to the much faster/responsive menus!

One thing I wish the next update would resolve would be loading LUTs in the camera, feels backwards being back in legacy mode for it.

Just installed this last week on my Helium with the new Bolt DSMC2 module. Prior to the upgraded I was running a year old Alpha FW build on the Helium and the Bolt DSMC2 module worked great for the last two months. Now the bolt will not receive a video signal from the body to broadcast. As anyone else run into issues with the bolt module not working with this firmware? Thanks
