Anybody know if the function buttons on the DSMC2 evf work in the same way as the Compact EVF?
Also, how does one go about mounting the DSMC2 on the Raptor. Need the DSMC3 adapter A, the cable, but then how to mount?

Yes they do work. When you attach the EVF to the DSMC3 Adapter A for the first time the EVF will get updated to support the new features. If it's then used on a DSMC2 body again a DSMC2 F/W will be re-loaded.

In terms of mounting on a Raptor you would need a Top 15mm bracket of your choice.

There is one that attaches to the RED Top Handle if you have that already:

You then can use the RED EVF Mount on that bracket to mount the EVF:
