  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

DSMC Quickplate Module!

+1 on a "power through the modules" plate. Makes total sense. But with all this pent up demand, how about an 800.00 price point?? :)

You don't need a module adapter for each module. Just one on the back of the brain, and then you can go to town:

That looks like a bazooka! lol

That's the goddamn truth right there! Would love one of these modules too, but the plate needs to be a real IDX plate (no offense).

Trust me.. no offense taken. Watch me put up my hand when the awards for worst Battery Plate of the year are handed out. Will make sure we do better on this ( and the Meizler )

Thanks everyone for voting! Methinks this module will be a blast.

And yes to DTAP. It's a must-have feature, as there are no other power outlets in the setup.

Now I hope that this module will be ready when the +1 module adaptor starts shipping. This will be a very cool compact setup: brain / +1 module adaptor / quickplate module, with LCD touch and EVF attached.

absolutely agree, make i really small (like the one from brook, but even lightweighter :)

And if this happened to have the additional EVF/LCD out built in.... Yes please!!!!!!

I will absolutely buy this! In fact it's the one thing I've been really missing in the Red Epic/Scarlet line-up, an intelligent way of mounting v-batteries. So far I've gone for the belt adapter, but there are a lot of circumstances where you don't want the battery in the belt.

Looking forward to this, although I think 1000 is a little stiff to add a reasonable v-mount solution. 850 (200 more than the APU sounds more reasonable).

Yeah exactly Adrian. That would be the setup that would really let these cameras live up to their versitle potential.

I'm in too. Please make the option of an Anton Bauer plate. Having standard production batteries power directly the camera without external cables and connectors is a big deal. One less thing that can go wrong.
And I agree that P-Tap sucks, but it's very useful to have one.
