So, if you are like me, you spent every penny saved on a Scarlet package and are now spending your time scouring the 'nets for ideas on how to pimp out your new ride. I went for the Al Canon mount. So, knowing this, I need your help.

Follow Focus and Matte Box
I'd like to keep a mattebox and follow focus on rails at all times. To accomplish this, wooden camera's easy rider + lw 15mm would be a perfect combo but I don't know if I would be able to mount a Manfrotto plate to the bottom of the easy rider. Is that possible?

Hopping Between Tripod and Shoulder Mount

The DSMC Quick Release Platform, while awesome, is really pricy. I use Manfrotto heads, so ideally I would buy this and attach it to a Mantis like shoulder mount- has anybody done this?

What have you guys used for matteboxes and shoulder mounts with your Canon setups?

I've used that Manfrotto 577 plate with a camera that's probably around the same weight as Scarlet with accessories: solid plate, and a bunch of different holes on the bottom for all sorts of mounting options.

But I didn't use it on a shoulder mount, I used it on a Phillip Bloom Pocket Dolly. Sooooo not very helpful, I know. But I'm curious about the answers someone else would give to these questions and I figured adding my $.02 was better than a simple "BUMP".
