  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

DSMC Front Body Cap

I need one for Scarlet. Any reason as to why these are not available?
Thanks

See my post #8. We have to get in enough to cover camera orders plus incremental orders. We cannot very well ship brain-only orders without them. But, good news, we can offer them pretty soon....

Didn't hang around on this one; bought two! Thanks Brent!

Oh and if I may be allowed a small product suggestion; to make things easier in the field and prevent lossage, all mounts and body caps should be attached with *captive* screws...

Hey Guys,

Just so you know- DO NOT USE PAPER (or cardboard- which is worse) to protect the sensor. Paper products produce dust, and depending on the tooth of the paper it can produce quite a bit of dust- right out of the box. Plastic or something smooth and rigid that you can clean will work. Actually the gaff tape by itself would probably be better, however I would not recommend anything adhesive near the sensor. I know that gaffers will tell you gaff tape is a miracle from god (and sometimes it is) but it is not as clean as you would think. Sometimes adhesive can be left on a surface even if it is clean to the touch/naked eye. Also I wouldn't recommend "checking in" on a camera that is stored in plastic. Every time you open it up you are introducing potential contaminants.
