Having transitioned from a career in the visual effects industry to a still photographer, some of the things on my mind have been:
- Do we really need ISO on our cameras or is it just a carry over from the good ole days?
- Can't someone make a camera that exposes everything in my image like I want? (or even better, how I tell it)
maybe im not reading your post correctly, but won't we always need ISO, or something in it's place, to at the very least tame what our aperture produces? if you want to shoot wide open, or get deep focus, etc, you will need to adjust something to compensate for your aperture setting..
do you mean why do we still have to set the ISO? and why can't a camera automatically adjust so it's never clipping no matter how big or small the aperture is set to?
