...
With luck, tomorrow or the day after, we go down that hole...

Mike

... impressive nature is seen through the right set of "eyes" ... :-)

You did it! I'm so very happy for you! Very much looking forward to seeing the result!

I like it when I'm right ;)

Damn these forum bugs... I want to see your images! Just noticed that you already posted something. Can't see it on iOS.

EDIT: just downloaded another browser just to see these! Oooooh baby. I knew this would be great! Sooo damn excited about this and for you!

Awesome. What a place. I hope tent camp is far from sulphur dioxide. Should be pretty uncomfortable to wear those masks during nighttime..

The loneliness of the extreme cinematographer... watch this space :-)

Mike

Holy Mother of Jesus, Mike, I've seen you post about volcano shooting for years now. My mental picture of what you were up to fell far short of the reality. Just these bits you've shared so far are fantastic. good luck out there. Can't wait to see more.

And watch your step out there. ;-)

Thanks for the kind words guys.Casualty list so far: one busted LCD.Today it gets totally rad; about to abseil 400m (call it 1200ft) down to the lava lake itself. More people have stood on the fucking moon than have stood there...Mike

Mike, you are absolutely living up to your nickname. Something tells me you'll be capturing some incredibly rare images and can't wait to see what the Dragon sensor is able to handle.

Wishing you and your crew a safe journey.

No big update today; Dragon didn't go down the crater due to technical issues and delays with the rope rigging. Watch this space however :)

Mike, absolutely fantastic!!!!!!

Would you be so kind to give us one Dragon Fire Lava R3D to play???

The time will come!
I can only hope all goes well for the whole crew and that you bring back home, besides the amazing memories, some incredible footage!

Remember that the dragon is used to fire and to beeing places not meant for the faint hearted!

Holy s(-)it Mike.. you're a really bad ass filmmaker, dude.. congrats on that lava shot, it looks amazing.. take care!
