So no potential firmware change to add even more with the new sensor? Just thought the new sensor might be able to allow more than +6. Still awesome though.
I'm no expert, but I did see this Wikipedia page that says the human eye is capable of ~20 stops

What is the max DR on film?
Only RED gives us Christmas announcements in April!!! Never in the history of the art has its tools and its processes become a source of grand inspiration, as evidenced by the goosebumps I get each time a new announcement is made. Perhaps its because our possibilities to create are no longer limited by tools of yesteryear and monstrous financial models. The fact that Red is exceeding our expectations and firing up our imaginations to unimagined possibilities as to what we can create with these tools is true cause to rejoice! It will be a very good year and an even better Holiday!!! Merry Christmas to us ALL!!!!Scarlet upgrades won't begin until 2013. 1st EPIC upgrades begin end of this year.

Good. That will give me plenty of time to dig 6k worth of ditches.
Actually... Red is the color of life. The color of passion. Aggression. War.

Ok, like I said I'm no expert. Does seem like the Dragon sensor has the eye's range of capability covered though, no?That is debatable. Your eye moves around, and the iris opens and closes. That range is not all at once.
