  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Thanks for everything. It's a ton of work and I'm very grateful for the time you spent on it and also putting stuff together for us. If you change your mind about stills, how about a couple of varying ISO's of the same shot (If you had time to do that) or even a couple stills comparing mx side by side with Dragon on the same shot. Anyways, just a thought. Thanks again!

All this anticipation ....and A Vimeo Link ? Even the new 1K USD BMD pocket cinema camera looks great on vimeo .
if they don't allow to post R3D along with the new RCX ..., this quite disappointing i would say .

I obviously thank Toia ,
but without R3D... for me there is no even a reason to spend time on an edit and post it H264 ,

i want to see R3D on my Dolby PRM...anything else does not show much .

just my opinion.

I mean it's out of Toia hands. W/out the new RCX release, we can't see his R3D anyway. So the Vimeo link will have to do. I'm just as interested in reading Toia's feedback about the camera as I am seeing the footage, to be honest.

And even a Vimeo link gets me excited. The first Monochrome footage blew me away. Remember "Emiily" (see below)? If Toia's Dragon footage in COLOR looks as good as "Emily" on Vimeo, I'm going to shit my pants.

i am sorry , but No .
When footage has been properly shot , trough color correction you can foul DR stops , depth and many things can look incredible... it is true that ultimately is the video posted that have to look good , but i guess here we are trying evaluate the better quality of the camera , which means have a look at a 6K R3D on a ""big screen"" .

That's the genius of having Toia do this. He is a straight shooter and we all know he tells it like it is. We will get R3Ds at some point, but tonight is not it.

Toia can even shoot epic and say that is Dragon , and still blow us away .
There are even images shot on Red One looks unbeatable (when the light is perfect and the magic happen ) .....especially in the Vimeo Domain .


anyway i guess i'll wait few more weeks to see R3Ds ...
 
compromise, how about a redlogfilm tif? anybody doing serious imagework knows that's just as good at this point
