  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Dragon....

Dude, you have no idea how exciting it is to be part of the Odemax/REDRAY launch. It's the final half of the equation. We've been shooting 4k for 5 years, now we can deliver it in it's full glory.

I went to the RED/Warner Brothers/FilmLight/MPI event just this past Wednesday in Beverly hills, they had a table at the entrance with a sony 4k 60" which utilized a redray player. It was awesome man!

Baselight guy on the left, Maxine Gervais(DI Colorist-Pacific Rim), and 1st employee of R3D as He put it himself, Ted. Amazing event, my first exposure to the industry, first time I saw a R3D Scarlet/Epic live. It was just cool!

I went to the Red event also, Ted and his team pulled off a huge educational night, the DI color demo of Pacific Rim, in real time, was awesome. And I've been around for a long, long time.

Sorry guys...

I was just going to post stills. But then I said fuck it ! You all deserve moving pictures.
I'll have it up in about 2 hours.
Vimeo is the best I can do for now, as I fear my server will just cook and melt tonight ! - Plus trying to figure out how to make a colour perfect H264 took me all night ! GRRRRRR.... And its a pity you have to watched it compressed, but at least you'll still see the latitude.

Anyways. Hold tight.
This is my last post on this thread.

ooooh... and you will be amazed, I found more DR hiding away... This camera really gives you what your own eye can see. Just amazing.

You have my full attention :)

Eagerly awaiting. The tension has been building for days. So excited to finally see what we've all been waiting so long for.

Hey Mark, if you include a. R3d still from the video, then it won't matter that it's compressed as we'll be able to play with a little piece of the original (when Redcine-X is updated). I'm sure the h264 will look glorious regardless if it's anything like the past work you've put on there.

dragon r3d's only work in the as-yet unreleased build of rcx... i'm sure toia will give us some tiff's to look at

i'd say if someone is willing to host files contact mark about it if your server can handle a blowup

Maybe make the original download available on vimeo so we can see it in slightly less compressed form? I'm willing to host any .tiff or .r3d files if necessary, I have the capability for pretty ridiculous amounts of traffic. Mark, contact me if you're interested.
