Dragon Upgrade Update - Epic-X upgrades and Dragon Epic-M orders begin to ship

Yes, sir. SCARLET for EPIC M-X and EPIC DRAGON, not affected. If anything, with more lines on the floor, we can process more orders per month of those.

Thanks, Brent. It's getting close to the time to pull the trigger.

Congrats, Jarred, Brent and the rest of the RED Team on responding so rapidly to your customers and following through on your promise to up your game. You guys rock!

Alex, we began taking preorders at NAB 2013. We do have some ready to go now, but - in all honesty - not enough to cover the current orders already it for it. But the good news is the lines for carbon fiber, for upgrade, and for new EPIC-M aluminum are all dedicated lines. So, more EPIC-M aluminums will be made each day.

Tough to say on ETA, all depends on the take rate for the preorders in the system. But know our plan is certainly not "many, many more months" : )

Hey Brett, am I understanding correctly, as someone waiting a new Dragon M, I am only in the line behind those who are awaiting new camera orders? Or are upgrades also ahead of me as well and it's strictly dependent on time-stamp? Have my debut feature film gearing up in less than 2 months and getting all antsy and excited and would love our Dragon :) Thanks in advance sir!

Sean, timestamp within your group of orders. So, upgrades done by timestamp within upgrade group. Totally different production line than new cameras. For new cameras, same deal - based on timestamp within those orders. Or, the less confusing answer - no, upgrades are not "ahead" of you anymore now that we broke the seal on EPIC-M new DRAGON aluminum order processing : )

Lovely, sir. Thanks very much for clarification.

So just so I'm clear, orders placed for brand new Dragon-Ms are given priority over long-standing upgrade orders for existing Epic-Ms? Asking because M upgrades don't seem to be specifically mentioned in the list.

Hi Keith, i would put it this way:

NEW EPIC M Dragons and all Upgrades, wether X or M are two different "Products" / Assembly Lines. Each with their own waiting List. Upgrade have been split between NAB 2013 Order frame of 3 days for M, early Adopter and 30 Days into NAB X Buyers. But only people who placed to online. then on april 11th a new queue for upgrade order placement was opened. this one is currently being processed. At the same Time, and in Parallel new EPIC M Orders are fulfilled in order of order timestamp. this timestamp can be from as long ago as NAB 2013 up until today if you go into the shop and place an order now.

The good news is that Dragon upgrades happen at lightning speed, I received my emails last week and already have both Dragons in hand...it was literally a few days door to door.
They must have elves locked up 24 hrs a day back in the upgrade room.

Good news, get these Dragons out there!

hi Rent, does this mean i should be getting an email soon? Since I got an Epic M?

Since we blast eligibility emails by date/time stamp, depends when you placed your preorder : )
