Dragon Update

Really appreciate the update. Good news.

Yes! Now I'm getting really excited to send back my camera for a upgrade! I can almost smell the fresh footage off of dragon. Getting close!

I'm so excited I sent it in early lol :p

As much as I loved the more "renegade" RED of 2005-2009, the more "mature" 2010-Present ultimately is what is needed as RED has become a major factor in the largest productions in the business. Stability is so critical when you're dealing with productions that are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars every hour to be up and running.

when will he see a sample ?

weeks from now ? or earlier than that ?

i am very very eager to see the new color science (which would mean post both RC3 and the new one "as is out of the camera"...)

thanks

You guys rule, I'm so ridiculously happy with my monochrome (silly like a kid when i'm shooting with it).

If you are ever shooting with it in LA Patrick, I'd love to see it in action!

I love these update posts, please keep them coming! Any news on Scarlet to Epic upgrades timeline? I know dragon updates are much more exciting though ;)

This is going to be such an expensive year... Dragon, Motor Mount, Fan, Maybe Meisler plus accessories. Take your frigging time!!!!

I'm only joking of course. I want this now just like everyone else.. Hey Jarred, any hints when we'll see some footage?

I can't freaking wait. Was shooting some amazing action the last few days against some darker trees. Was so wishing for the extra stops of latitude. So stoked to unleash the beast.
Go Graeme Go!

Jarred will emerge from the flaming wreck naked holding the dragon and a whole host of footage. Scratch the naked part since only Emilia Clarke can really pull it off but I'm super pumped nonetheless!!!

Thanks for the update. I'm trying to be patient... trying. ;) Wish I were closer, I'd love to help with the lens coverage matrix test thing.

This is great news, those first frames you post are going to be great.
But not in this thread, right ? :)

Good work guys.

I'm ready to bring a Cooke 20 to 100 and a Ang. 25 to 250, with my 1.2x extender, to the lens test, to see how these "old" zooms look on Dragon. Call anytime.
