Anyone shot on this combination? Any impressions? comments? notes? How is 6K on master primes?
And if you can post a link to a footage, it would be greatly appreciated.

I've been shooting on them a fair amount this year.

6K covers 25mm and longer. The 18mm works at 5.5K FF and is usable at 6K WS.

Don't know what notes you're looking for, but the footage has been great thus far, which is to be expected really. Will be shooting with them again over the next two months.

I am producing a short film, and we have the opportunity to use Dragon + MPs. I just want to see the 'look' this combination has. 'House of cards' has a very specific grading.

I use this combination, and its inherent look is sharp and clean.

There was a short film written up in American Cinematographer last year...where the DP matched Masters to an Epic...and added BPM 1 to soften them up. Final look was pretty cool....

An outstanding combination in my strong opinion... But shooting if 6k must go WS as to allow wider lenses to work nicely too, in all honesty I just dislike super-wides and I avoid them all together, so no big deal for me, from 18mm and up all is good... :)

To me the absolute pristine of clinical if you lie to call it that, look that the MP's give, is simply a perfect starting point to take your imagery any were you wish in post.

MP's are simply one of the best, if not the absolute best glass out there, with perfect construction, smooth as BUTTER focus, and great for Manual (by hand) focusing without any Focus Pulling gear, as they have a nice comfortable Rubber ring.

Of course you can swap the Focus Marking ring with Metric or Feet Scale too... :)

Any ways, other then their really BIG size and HEAVY weight, I simply love them!

I think one cool thing with Dragon is that it can "tolerate" Masters.
If I had the option to start off with this combo more often, I would.

Masters are tack sharp and to me they were allmost "ringing" on R1 and Epix MX, but on Dragon they are butter-smooth and a splendid place to start to filtrate your own preferred messed up look... :)

Or just go into vogue'ish cleanness.

Love the combo.
Cannot afford it.

In my memory, you'd have to go to 5,5 HD if you wanna shoot vignette-free 16:9 with the 18

:)

Another persistent rumor is that 18 mm MP vignettes, but 14mm MP does not. I wonder if that's true.
