  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

But yeah, I'm assuming it's Scarlet W, just updated to fit in the new DSMC2 naming structure?

Hahaha. I literally had a discussion with a director one day because he was set on the "RED Epic Dragon X" for his project. I told him that was not a camera, and assumed he meant an Epic X with a Dragon sensor upgrade (I told him why not just rent an Epic Dragon? so thats what we did).

So now there is actually a Dragon-X! (why the X? since I thought that was always tied to Mysterium X).

Glad to see the Dragon still around. I predict this package will do very well in the rental market with all of the confusion out there. :)

I believe that X means that the body was manufactured in series and M by hand. There was a 5000$ difference.


I wonder if there would still be an upgrade from EPIC DRAGON? The downside is loosing 6K resolution tho..


Also, I'm glad DRAGON still lives like the post title says, but I was expecting another movement from Red, probably a DSMC2 DRAGON 6K VV... maybe in a galaxy far, far away.

lol, I hope they don't call it Dragon-X. That'll just lead to more confusion after the effort to make the new names simple.
There's already a DSMC1 Scarlet-X Dragon, Epic-X Dragon, Epic-M Dragon. :willy_nilly:
 
Whoops ... well ... interested to see how it fits in the line-up and upgrade path for those eligible. Most likely bring Scarlet-W into line with DSMC2 body specs while keeping the same sensor and allowing Raven to fly up to it without too much pain on the wallet.
 
Kinda my thinking, will see how it pans hopefully soon

hope they bring the hammer down on em for posting early
 
hopefully why they took it down, they should just stick with Dragon, why add the X?
