Really like this one.
huuumm 250 iso less filters to use and a gorgeous lense in front of the camera.

Edit: did you even used a nd filter on this one? Lense aperture?
B.

Probably just an ND .9 and I'd say it most likely an 8/5.6 spilt. It was pretty early maybe about 7:30 am.

I posted this just because the shades of green *and the separation is pretty great. The best I have seen on RED. The more you stare at it the more you really feel the layers.

Very nice pics David! They look rich. You are very fortunate to live in such a historic and beautiful place.

I'd say Athens is pretty historical. :)

I am very grateful to live here. something important from the past can touch you at any moment.

Great images!

Great shots! I'm amazed at the relatively low ISOs you're using to get those exposures. Of course, a T 1.4 always helps! Nice work!

Fast glass always helps, even though there's a bit of CA, but that ca always be cleaned up.

Florence is a pretty dimly lit city. It seems brighter with dragon. Electricity is way more expensive in Italy than Canada, with places like James bay and Niagara Falls providing cheap power. Italy refused to build nuclear power plants on their soil and there were several referendums when people voted strong against nuclear plants favoring higher electrical costs.

I find staying within the 250 to 1600 range you can get really nice results and really hold color fidelity with the blacks feeling more natural instead of forced when you drive up the ISO.

Hey mo,

great to hear from you here. We should catch up soon. Want to hear about how everything is going with your film!

ps: thanks to all you guys for the nice feedback.

lovely shots David, missed you a lot brother. love the lens too.

Beautiful, beautiful shots David!!! Florence (along with Venice, beloved Venice) is one of my fave cities I've ever visited. You're brining back wonderful, wonderful memories.

best

Wow, beautiful examples as usual David! Great to see the 35 Lux working so well on Dragon. Since seeing your examples over the last year, I've ended up with 2 35 Luxes (will sell one soon, anyone can PM me if interested). I've found them to be somewhat challenging yet exceptionally rewarding, and has quickly an all-time favorite.

Oh and the Leica R on RED user group meeting is still on in Florence this fall, right ;)

Lets extend it out to the whole red community. Let's have a European an RED summit. We need a little more RED love over here.

Early october? With enough lead time I can get meeting rooms, a cinema, great Italian food and wine and the light IR pretty gorgeous at that time of year.

Seriously, anyone in, should just post into this thread or the leica R one.
