  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

DRAGON CAN WAIT! Some grabs from today's shoot...

That looks really nice!

Superman also loves the Epic and it's pleasant noise at 2500 iso. But he is really tired and have not had any sleep in the last 40 hours. At these moments the thoughts of the dragon keeps him going :)

Shots look great! The contrast is really nice. My only critique would be that the teal-tan grade is a little over the top.

Nice shots Matthew...

However, while "MX" is absolutely stunning and all the work done with it has proven that time and again, so was and still is the case for "M" as great work proved time and again that that was and still is great as well... But trust me, definitely DRAGON can NOT wait!!

Hehe thanks Ketch :) I'm only just getting to know the mx after almost a year of owning it... So I can imagine your eagerness to be at one with the Dragon hehe :)

Exactly, but I also must pint out that some of my eagerness for DRAGON are not just for all the obvious extra goodies, but also for the extra Print size in Frame Extractions... ;)

Well 6K is great, but here it seems to be too much resolution for the skin at middle plan or close up isn't it ?

I think it will be a pain for make up artist or even for skin's pores...

It is the case with the Epic at 5K. On my last short, even with a good make up, we can see peach fuzz on the faces...

I don't think any resolution is too much resolution. You can soften in post or through filters if you like, or shoot with older glass....there are options. Lighting plays a big role in how much you see makeup too...so, I see your point, but I'd rather adjust my shooting technique to accommodate for greater resolution than to restrict the resolution available...you know what I mean?

Loving the new grabs and blog post! Intrigued by the concept: The hospital & field combined with the opulence from the first grabs.. cant wait to see the end product and how the story all fits together...

Also looking forward to checking out the upcoming tutorials on your blog :D

Thanks Nick! The concept was all the artists idea, we liked it and pollished it a bit, but it was awesome to shoot three very contrasting locations (4 actually). There another whole scene in the desert! Thanks for the feedback, I'll be working on the tutorial over the next week or so :)
