Just got my Scarlet back from being upgraded to Dragon. I was shocked how fast RED turned it around, it was less than 7 business days!

I took the camera out to do some night shooting and noticed a few things, I got some strange horizontal line artifacts and a purple fringing around the light sources in the frame. I shot at this location right before upgrading to Dragon and it didn't exhibit any of these issues. The purple fringing occurred on multiple lenses. Does anyone know what could have caused this? For the line artifacts look next to the giant clock on the left side of the frame. It almost mimics the lines on the clock itself. Here is a link to an R3D snapshot https://www.dropbox.com/s/oegqbt4biom5i6f/A001_C015_1128XS.0000182F.R3D?dl=0

I think the lines are linked to the illuminated windows of the building.

The purple fringing is lens related as it is the common chromatic aberration seen on over exposed highlights such as this, which is amplified by the fact that the highlights themselves are out of focus.

The ghost streak you see is what is known as a CMOS Smear and is something that could occur on Mysterium-X before, but since Dragon is more sensitive than MX it tends to pop up more when shooting at higher ISOs with clipping such as this.

Probably didn't see it on MX because the entire purple part would've been blown out...

..heh.

But seriously, the purple fringing looks very much like a lens issue. Do you have any other lenses/brands you can try to double-check?

As for CMOS Smear, yes, it is much more noticeable on Dragon compared to there sensors. Not sure what you can do other than try to avoid exceedingly high contrast ratios. Also, it looks more like a flare when it isn't going through slats like that clock.

The CMOS smear is a major issue and it just keeps getting downplayed.

If it wasn't fixed on MX, it won't be fixed on Dragon.

This is correct,
perhaps with a few tricks you can decrease .. !! maybe Red surprises us ...
Surely in the next generation of sensors will be less noticeable.

Thats the worst I've seen it. It takes up the entire frame. Can you test to see if this is visible in-camera in 1:1 zoom view? I have found that other dragon specific artifacts are. If you can, you can at least do what you can to minimize it.
