Can I power up the Raven from the P-Tap placed under the base plate? I mean connect it with the Jetpack? Is that possible? Thanks

Would be nice, but I don't think it will be possible. On the base of my ronin it says 3A max, which would be 36watt at 12volt. An epic is about 60w, so I don't think raven will be under 36w.

It's a pity. But thank you for the info. I guess I have to hope for the new side handle with redvolts for the Raven. Or. Is there a room at the back for the Raven with Redvolt XL module and Redvolt XL battery?

Would need to measure the max peak power draw on the Raven - but my guess is that the answer is "NO". The cabling for these ports are designed to handle power draw of accessories - not the camera...

Hey Peter,

Will your side plate be compatible with the Raven/Weapon? Or do you have one in the work for those?

Yes, XL module is compatible with Raven, but I'm waiting too for a DSMC2 handle for Redvolt because I don't want to add too much weight to the Ronin.

I don't know. I tried EpicMX with the smallest VLock available and wile the camera fits and balance I wasn't able to tilt because the battery hits the upper (panning) motor. So I ended up using side handle+redvolt. I don't like belt clips and being tethered to the gimbal.

Can anyone with the gimbal knows how many pixels are lost when you do a gentle software stabilization?
I am asking because RAVEN shoots 4096x2160 so a few pixels can be lost when your final output format is UHD 2.37:1 (3840x1620)

thanks

My scarlet dragon + xl module + xl redvolt fits fine in the ronin. it doesnt fit in the Ronin M though. this could give you an idea with Raven.

Now I am looking at RED RAVEN brain and there´s no connector like hdmi or sdi to send the signal to wireless video transmitter. So my question is how I send the signal to wireless video transmitter while using Redvolt XL Module.

I know that there are several other modules available. But you cant add and add other modules when using Dji Ronin.

Thanks

According to my experience it´s better to use thin cables and feed power and video away from the gimbal up to the handle bar. The less weight you got the swing the better.
