Hi all. Long time from my last post. The world changed and many things with it. I am fine and my family is fine. Just now trying to escape post-corona. I have tried to build tools and platforms that is useful and human fixable with common tools. I am Drone op and shot many-many features and shows. I see the right to repair and Louis Rossmann as very important and the key to the future.
I built a DIY cinema drone that runs on kerosine, diesel, jetfuel or cooking oil*** (not always but works with good filtering and some gasoline or nitromethane) but is meant to carry any camera and any lens in a safe and reliable way, AND use NO battery and be easy fixable.
This is my drone. Built in a aluminium ladder and uses an two stage turbine (Just one shaft and two impellers and another impeller at the generator stage) All components have been junk or found at local hardware store. Everything is legal to fly with in airplane cargo if cleaned good. When at destination, just go by gas station and fill up with some Diesel and done. (Aviation law apply of course for flying it under own power)

I am using just the gear that I have. The camera is an RED Dragon Carbon 6k (not mounted here) and a custom gravity-off center dominated gimbal that can carry up to 20kg but is very-very light and simple. The control is Futaba and HereLink, flight controller is Ardupilot Orange cube. Control links are with 2.4Ghz, 900Mhz modem via PC and Mission Planner app, or via a nVidia Xavier linux board that have 4G/5G modem (internet ssh link) and also run AI collision detection Tensor flow.
