I just got my Scarlet and I ordered an extra power supply (thinking none was included  )So now I have two.Would it be possible for me to take the LEMO plug from the spare one and put on something like this?:http://www.creativevideo.co.uk/index.php?t=product/idx_p-v2Or would it cause problems with battery level indication?I realize I still would need a mounting plate.Any help appreciated

Definitely possible. I just got a battery plate and upon closer inspection it's exactly that....a generic plate with the lemo cable :) No battery indicator though.....but who cares!?

Edit: title should be vlock, not block

What I did was this.
Buy two connectors, one female and one male 4pin XLR's and then you cut the power supply cord in the middle and put the female on the AC side. Then you got a AC with option for 4 pin XLR extension and you for a 4 pin XLR to lemo power all in one. Then you only need another 4 pin XLR Female connector on your Vlock plate.

Then you have:

AC power
AC power possible to extend (good for studio use)
4 pin XLR connetor possible to connect to any 12V power source including your back plate.

Great inputs,
Björn your solution is really clever :-)

I have now ordered the parts for it including this vmount plate: http://farseeing.eu/image/cache/data/New Pic/FK-V-500x500.jpg
It features two red and two black cables.
I'm guessing it's two + and two ground wires, but I have no idea why there are two – can anyone confirm this?

The LEMO DC cable also has two + and two ground wires, so I'm guessing this is pretty straight forward with the four wires in the plate.
It also has a "Serial Battery Bus Clock" and a "Serial Battery Bus Data" – is this for the battery indication? And can I leave them unplugged.

Sorry if this seems elementary, I just want to make sure I don't hurt my baby ;-)

I believe one pair goes to the Powertap connector on the side of the v-lock mount the other to the internal connector which you will use to connect to the scarlet.

It's very important to supply power to both +, and both - connectors in the LEMO plug (1+2 should get the same positive, and 4+5 same ground). I wouldn't bother with the data pins at all, the Scarlet should read the voltage of the battery just fine. data pins are only for percentage left.

Off topic

BTW: isak, I believe you should be able to edit the thread title if you go advanced on the original post edit?!
