Hi

I started my own company with my DP in september '11. We shot a lot of good looking pictures since so I decided to cut a showreel of our projects.
I have just rendered a first draft to Vimeo and I'm eager to see if redusers like it. The Edit or/and the footage.

Pretty much everything is Shot on Red (MX, Scarlet and Epic, with RPP, Ekran HS, or Nikon Ais), except some car exterior, shot on a 5D with Canon lenses.

I hope you'll like it, our last demoreel has fooled film people including our beloved JJ, though it was also shot on Red. Don't hesitate to post your suggestions about the edit here.

It's 2min long.

Brilliant!

It actually felt a bit rushed in the beginning, but found a better pace later on. Beautiful.

Looks great. Wish I could have seen it full screen though. Tried to open it from the Vimeo link but was denied access.

Nice Work.
Congrtz

Je vois que tu n'as pas posté sur Camera-F alors je vais te répondre en Anglais.
Maybe a bit too long for the amount of different set up you have to show off.
As it is too many cuts who are in beetween two beats.
The clip needs at least one good break in the music, take the profit to threw in at least one direct in from one of your clip.
Then change the music (2 minutes with only one song is too long) .
Your clip needs to be more orgasmic, start with a slower rythme and music and end at a higher tempo.
And then the rule N01 work harder on your packshots (First and last cut).
I think the opening on the Eiffel tower is perfect but too short, I will choose something different for the last cut, maybe Paris again.

Bonne continuation Béranger et bravo pour tout ce boulot rondement mené.

Best
B.

Thanks for all the comments and advices !
This montage is a day of trial and error, and this is the first edit that pops out. I will be editing again in a few days to make it better.

Brice, j'attends la version finale avant de le mettre sur c-f.

The work is nice, congrats. But you should put the credits of the projects, titles, directors & production companies. At least at the end.

You are absolutly right. I will do it at the end if not, we won't be able to read it. Thanks Kristin.

Thanks Olivier !

It's always nice to get some references added, I'm sure it will bring you more clients ;-) Again, congrats, beautiful work !

Hi guys,

I'm uploading a second version (without credits but it will come) with new shots. It should be available at 10:30 (board time)

It features better sync, smoother cut, rythm is about the same except at the beginning.

I hope you'll enjoy it.

I really liked the shot at 0:13 in with the City, the Ocean and the purple cast of color.

This is great job!! Congrats Bérenger!!

I think it's an awesome reel, some amazing shots in there. Nice work! The only thing is I wouldn't end on the shots you have ended with! Psychology says that we remember the beginning and the end....you have SO MANY shots that are nicer to finish on than the way it ends now...my opinion of course, doesn't mean it's right.
