  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

DEEP ATOM is almost HERE!! Under Water will never be seen in the same way again...

Really cool. If those are buttons on the back, will be great to make them thick / dry-glove friendly.

cool!!

cool!!

Congratulations Ketch!!

We need underwater housing for the project I'm shooting next....we pushed the underwater scenes to the end of our schedule in hopes of using the Deep Atom instead of the Borg/si-2k option.

As soon a you get a date email/call me!

have fun on your USA Epic tour!

Nice...

Big Props to John Ellerbrock and the team at Gates. I have used their Deep Red housing and was impressed with the elegant design and build quality. Great to have such fantastic tools for taking our Epic's underwater - with an ET Atom rig for 3D safely inside! Nice.

Cheers - #19

Is that a photo or render?

Looks like a render to me. It would be even more interesting to see sample images coming out of this rig.

Ketch, are there any sample images that Gates may have done during any prototype testing? What lens and filter options does the rig allow for?

Thanks guys,

the craftsmanship of GATES and ELEMET TECHNICA here shows off to the SKY, oh actually to the DEEP OCEANS he he... ;)

This are renders, that is why the title reads "Almost here"... ;)

Sorry Mark the first rigs will be ready by AUGUST/SEPTEMBER, so no NAB, price on this babies is 80 to 100k.

Inside this babies, both the ET ATOM and the RED EPIC Cameras will go DEEP... Pun intended, he he!

Pedro, can't wait to have you and your good buddy take this baby down for a swim in the Italian coast and else were around the Globe... ;)

Thanks Joey, you know now why we went with the Aluminum version for our 3 ATOM 3D rigs... ;)

As Ketch mentions, delivery is late summer for the first production lot. A deposit is required to be in that first group. The next will be 4-6 months after that.

You should budget $80-100K, final pricing to be determined closer to production.

The best way to contact us is via http://www.gateshousings.com/support/contact-us.php or phone +1-858-391-0052.

Thanks to all for your continued support, especially ET -- you guys are great. I must also give big thanks to Evergreen Films / Pierre de Lespinois, the original driver behind this project.

Deep Atom looks amazing...

and that name... maybe you can don a radiation suit (or mount it on an ROV) and film the under water effects of the atomic radiation leaking into the Paclfic Ocean!

Which is surreal to think about with all that oil that gushed into the Atlantic in 2010.

Been a bad couple years for the Earth's Oceans
