Dedolight cases seem to be very pricy. Are there cheaper alternatives that will do the job or are they really worth their money?

do you have dedolights? how are the stands?
i'm considering picking up the 150 four lights set. i'm wondering if picking it up piecemeal would be more or less expensive.
BTW: If you are going for a Dedo kit, then you can also buy some cut-to-size filter kits. b&hphoto has them.

i was looking at the various models at NAB. i was thinking of going with the ones with the separate transformers/dimmers as opposed to the ones that are built with the light. Just makes sense because it keeps the light small and light, one of it's benefits.
Both 1/1 ctb gel and a dichronic filter will give you about 2 stops less light. The difference should be that a gel fades and a dichronic filter will work a lifetime.
