  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

First, note the tone and the content of the posts Mr. Rogoz has made in this thread alone. Then , as someone pointed out, review the informal but very clear policy of RED, stated many times by Jim and Jarred about "bad attitude," And then note that I have used a light-hearted and teasing tone each time I have chided Mr. Rogoz for his rather aggressive and disrespectful manner (to Jim, Jarred and RED). Finally, note that I am not pretending that it is I who will make the determination about his "attitude" but that RED just might take issue with his comments noting that, since he simply hasn't the time to do his own searching, they should do more to accommodate him. Sorry you don't approve but then again, you could consider taking your own advice and lead by example! :laugh:

As a potential customer of RED I asked if the web page could be updated- is it so much to ask? I also pointed out RED has "coming soon" under Scarlet for the past at least year and half. Is it so much to ask to have official announcements made through the web page, rather then posts on a forum? It's obvious that I am not spending as much time on this forum as you Mr. VerHaar (need I point out that you for instance average over 2 posts per day in the past 2 years?!). To me the whole announcement about Nov 3 announcement was not clear at all. Maybe if a clearer language would be used, there would be less confusion on my part. Thanks for pointing out my faults. Also thanks for making it clear that this bb is a place for RED Fan Club only. I use cameras as tools, I don't subscribe to ideologies or tech religions. Please terminate my login here. I have zero interest in any part of this bb, as I also pretty much don't have any interest in RED cameras anymore.

That is all your choice Robert. Although I can understand Jim's messages sometimes sounding cryptic, the Nov 3rd announcement said... On November 3rd, all questions regarding the scarlet will be answered, followed by you can buy it at 7 p.m. PST, followed by a couple more threads. That is pretty straight forward. Your answers are coming, just not right this second. Nov 3rd isn't much more than a month away. The banner above says Color your calendar Scarlet for Nov 3rd. You can look anywhere, it will be announced on the 3rd. We all have to wait. We have as much info as the new canons coming as we do about the Scarlet.

Patience is often rewarded with a great gift. I suggest you sit tight. Make an alternate purchase out of frustration, lack of patience, and upset at a community that did nothing to you isn't the answer. It totally is your choice but I can understand your frustration

Waiting sucks, many have waited for the Scarlet for a LONG time. I've been on ScarletUser since 08, others longer. It's the reality of the situation. Threatening to jump ship won't make the camera come any faster.

There is an abundance of info and videos around on what the Scarlet was around NAB. Thats as much as we know. I hope you wait! It will always be cool to have another Scarlet out there.
