Dear Jim/RED - Scarlet firmware upgrade

Totally agree. The RED One MX is a better camera (at least spec-wise) than the Scarlet-X at half the price. I always figured RED would do something to keep Scarlet relevant /up to date when they retired the RED ONE and that is was somehow "Throtteled". It would make sense that the Scarlet-X is more capable than the RED One since it was released 5 years later, considering Moores law, even if it was half the price. With the recent price cuts I am very curious to see what the upgrade path to Dragon looks like. RED's mantra is obsolence obsolete, and I do expect them to live up to that claim.

I don't get it. The Red ones are all 'battle tested' and end of life. They are not new/unused gear. The Scarlet is not comparable. But anyhow, an upgrade to the simplisctic Scarlet would be welcome, I just don't see the comparison to a clearence refurb.
