  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Hi guys,

I've been grading a short this week I shot on the Red Weapon and I'm getting quite annoyed at whenever I use a still on the footage it always takes the metadata (ISO/WB/Tint) from the still. Of course I want to keep it on the metadata of the actual clip but haven't found how I can do this.

This makes me reset my metadata all the time but there should be an easier way of doing this.

Who can help me?

Thanks,
Simon

Don't center-click on the still, and it won't overwrite your camera settings. You could create one node just for the camera look itself, then create another still just for node structure and/or a ballpark look that you're going for for the specific scene. When you double-click a PowerGrade, it'll add that to the end of the node tree, not replace the camera settings (assuming there's no camera adjustments in it).

Also, you can just Right click on the still (even if it has RAW settings) and select Append Node Graph.
This will add the nodes from the still after the ones you already have on your clip and do not change the RAW settings.
