I am very grateful for the professional work for "Mac-Asus-Supercomputer team" Very big thanks to the excellent work of Luigi! My Davinci system works so brilliantly....
Intel Core I7-970 on +4,0GhHz.
3-Gigabyte GTX-470
12Gb Ram
Redrocket-card
Highpoint Raid
I was wondering if it perhaps might be a better idea with using EFI strings?
It should be possible for the installer to detect the cards through ioreg and generate a EFI string on the fly. I could never get the DSDT file to work, but with the right EFI string everything (atleast the graphic cards) works perfect.
I might be able to whip up a quick python script for doing that...

Sounds great!
I also decided to build a similar system, though it is almost impossible to find new GTX 470 cards; most I found are second hand and coming from intense gamers, probably from smoke filled rooms...![]()
The issue is that one needs 3 identical cards for a working rig and if one fails, things will go pear shape big time, especially if in the middle of project, or client session.
@ Luigi,
I know you are very busy, but I am not clear if the new Machete v2 supports the new, readily available, GTX 570 cards.
Thank you,
Valeriu

Ciao Valeriu,

Luigi
Ciao Luigi.
Can one mix different branded cards (EVGA, Gigabyte), or if use EVGA only, different models like (GTX 460 SE, EE) or a mix of models (EVGA GTX460 for GUI and GTX 470-480 dedicated to GPU)?
Thank you,
Valeriu
yes is possible different model but gpu better if all the same, 460 or 470 or 480
thanks
Luigi
I've completed the first part which parses ioreg into xml.ciao Jimmy,

if you want to make in python perfect,What you need to do?
thanks
Luigi
