  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

DaVinci Resolve 8.2 for Mac, Linux and now Windows is now released and available on our support web site.
It includes,
Windows 7 Pro OS support
XML 1.1 support for DaVinci Resolve to read Final Cut Pro X color, sizing, opacity and composite mode settings
Canon C300 support
Sony F65 Raw support
Sony SStP encoding
GoPro camera MP4 file decoding
Support for Tangent Element panels

There are also DaVinci Resolve Lite 8.2 for Mac and Windows versions available for download.

Hi, just a quick question here, is it somehow possible to add another source with different RED settings? (to reach some kind of HDR look with different ISO settings)

Dumb question: is there a way to upgrade from within the software? Or is a re-download from the website the only way? I was, ironically, trying to look for a "Check for Updates" option last night on my laptop, and couldn't find ANYTHING from within the software to allow an update. Will something appear now that an update is available?

Regarding the Element panels... Will BlackMagic have the Element panels set up with Resolve at NAB? Would love to see it working together. I suppose there may be such a thing happening at the Tangent Devices booth too..
 
Audio pass-through still coming? I was told it was in development 1.5 years ago and I'm still waiting. I love everything Resolve has become in the last 1.5 years but this is it's Achilles heel.
Also I would love to see a multi-format render option on the roadmap.

At this time I'm not aware of any color grading software, that can render embedded audio. Well, except Assimilate Scratch that is:-)
 
Can BM update codec support list- current one looks very outdated.

Is Sony SR codec enabled in Windows Lite version?
