  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Davinci can't see media because Missing .RDM root folder for a card. Can I re-create?

Hey, I am having an issue trying to grade someone else's project in Davinci Resolve. The DIT did not copy the .RDM folder for one card. (only the .rdc 's ) and Resolve refuses to load the .rdcs even when I created a .RDM folder for them. Any Ideas? I Created a .RDM but I haver no idea what the last two char's should be and just guessed, which didn't work.
 
What happens if you attempt to load the same files into RedCine-X Pro? I often find I need to check the R3Ds prior to bringing them into Resolve just to check the metadata, resolution, and other settings. It's actually a terrific utility and very handy to have.
 
The folders should not matter.
I just copied a handful of R3Ds into the root of my raid without any folders and Resolve shows them in the Media page.
So something else is up if those files arent showing. What version of Resolve are you on and what Red camera was used to shoot the R3D files?
