Fincher has put out some great looking films with other digital camera systems in the past, I can't wait to see what he and Jeff do with RED!

just thought i'd share!

cheers

He's shooting the social network on red? I would have thought he would shoot on the f23 for his next film.

what makes you say that? he was in love with Viper until he started shooting red, which as far as I know he's used exclusively since. never shot on f23 afaik.

Actually I should say stand near "them" as there are a few. New sensor too! So cool!

Holy crap I'm jealous!! :willy_nilly:

hope to hear news about how that new sensor performs!!!

Thats ace!! I will say I am jealous of a lot of people on here, for the knowledge they have gathered over the years both thoeretical and practical, also from a location point of view. Not much goes on around here!! I am hungry for knowledge and experience...and do what I can. I'm not green but I'm not a worn out brown either. ---plus I've only shot on RED once.

being on RED user really makes someone like me feel like they are within ear shot of the pulse of the industry. I can hear the pulse over the pond.

Hope the shoot goes well.

I can concur with Nathan that David Fincher's "The Social Network" (the "Facebook movie") will be shot on RED, because they prepped two of Soderbergh's RED One's ("McCartney" & "Lennon") with the upgraded Mysterium-X™ sensor here at Keslow with the rest of the gear we're supplying for the film.

Its no big secret they have the new sensors, especially since Jim Jannard quoted the 1st AC, Steve Meizler last week:

Oh, that was that...now it all makes sense...thanks! :cheers2:

Haven't seen fincher yet. Everyone is in prep mode. Shooting starts soon. Not sure I can post a pic as I think it's a violation of the confidentiality agreement.

I think your post probably already is...

Great news.

Upgraded R1 with M-X the new RED sensor generation will become a legendary digital camera system.

Jeff Cronenweth who shot Fight Club (1999) will join again with David Fincher.

Justin Timberlake will "fight" in David Fincher's "The Social Network" that will be shot (!?) on R1MX by Jeff Cronenweth.

Until production begins, I think it is a bit premature to say "Social Network" is Shot on RED". David can do whatever he wants, including changing his mind. He tested RED but there should not be any speculation until shooting actually begins.

My post referencing this movie was a credit for Steve Meizler... not RED. There were other movies listed for Steve that were not shot on RED.
