  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I got a phone call part way through and missed most of it, but what i saw looked interesting. Ive been waiting for this to upgrade my design packages for a long time, cant roll around quick enough for me.

Searched, but didn't see this up yet...

I'm anxious to see how the adobe pieces are really going to start fitting together. :)

I've been expecting for some time that we will see it today.
I don't know which is the bigger event: Getting the cameras or getting this software.

Any word on whether they can use the GPU to speed up rendering? Photoshop can...

yep. I got a demo on that recently.

pretty much all Adobe apps now support this.

-Import video file (with audio).
-Process the voice recognition (very close to realtime)
-text (as metadata)is saved back to the file (QT, AVI, flash, etc) in the file header (text metadata is sync'd to TC)

Now you get a text window in Premier where the words (dialogue) are highlighted as the video plays in realtime.

Then, directly in Premier, you can search for a phrase, then jump to that section of the clip automatically, hit the "i" - now you have just set your "in point" of your timeline to the very beginning of the dialogue.

etc. etc.

This may end up being very cool (and useful) new paradigm for some editorial workflows.

Uh, yeah. It's about to get WAY interesting. Go Adobe!
