I hate having to disrespect folks by asking for freebies, but hey, aren't we all on a tight budget these days?

We need 6-8 PA's, 3 Grips, a DIT (or FreeIT as I would say...) and a partridge in a pear tree.

It's going to be a really fun shoot (comedy film). We are shooting July 11-19 around the Denver Metro area and need enthusiastic newbies (or overly enthusiastic veterans). 90% of the shoots are night shoots (6pm-6am). You'll get free food, screen cred, all the standard no-pay compensation. I know these kind of gigs are the last thing anyone wants to help with, but there's got to be a few of you out there who just love hanging out on set... why not carry some lights and stuff while you're at it? :-)

Please respond asap if you're interested- jon AT chaptertenfilms DOT com
Please don't PM me, I'll probably miss it.

Jonathan, yeah sorry I will already be on a film shoot. 100% of my films RED shoots I do for free anyway. (dunno if that will last once i get my Actioncam / Steadicam) But till then Im sorry I would have loved to help out.

Bump.

We're desperate for bodies. Especially a DIT. Anyone?

Thanks!

Tried craigslist, got 4 PA's which is great. Mostly, I'm desperate for a pseudo-DIT. All we need is someone who can do footage dumps properly and make backups.

No offense but you don't want a newbie DIT working for free. I speak from experience. Muster up a little change and hire a professional. This is a very important position. If you just want someone to dump footage, have your DoP or Producer or Director do the dumping. Just trying to help.

hahah, I AM the producer and trust me, we don't have the change... Thanks for the advice though, I appreciate it. I could certainly do DIT duties, but I will be too busy on set to wear another hat like that. Maybe I'll just teach my 2nd AC or something, since it's only footage dumps and disk image copying.
