today we started the shooting of a corporate film for the "Edeka", one of the biggest companies in germany for retail trade.
we started with the "foundation scene" in an original set of 1920. original costumes of this times. shot on red one "travis" and red primes. almost all "in camera" with filters and gels on the lights, fast Redcine export ... so no final judgement about sharpness please :w00t:
20 days of shooting to follow ...

Are these shots in the small office all natural light? Looks like those windows are doing all the work! Unless you had something outside... Either way, looks great!

We put ND on the visible window, because sun outside was to strong (the foundation plays in winter). one dedolight for the painting and one for the table. in other close ups we used supporting 4banks to get a "window" lightning. some other shots use almost completely the available light, i did not want to destroy the mood of this original set.
some stuff will certainly be improved in final colorgrading.
i add one promist 1/8.

no ;-)

still my old m-sensor red one "travis". i had never the time (or better said, the camera had not) to send it in. it´s running "nonstop" since 2008. when my epic arrives , i think i will do it.

Very nice grade too. I'd love to know what your color correction recipe was, but I'd understand if you wanted to keep it to yourself.

Your village is beautiful - is it a reconstruction, or was it spared during World War II?

some parts were reconstructed because of damages. the townhall was destroyed and rebuilt.

here is the shot from tim burton:

funny thing is, our small village stands for german "düsseldorf" city in the film, hahaha

grading:
it´s a fast grading on redcine, just bit s-curve and less saturation, as we did lot of the look original in costume and set to get the "sepia" and monochrome look.
