  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Cooke panchro

I am using the original Red 18-50 T3 zoom lens on my Epic-X here and it is giving correct /i data readout on all three FIZ axes. Just as a point of reference regarding /i data working on the Red lens.

A bonus is that it also calculates the DoF in real time based on lens parameters underneath the focal length readout:

^ Well, Red... let's get moving on the Cooke support! Seems you've got your own lenses working. =P

Panchros have really amazing flares, so smooth. you really dont get the aperture persay, but a fading veiling flare as you can see above. Best part is, despite the sun going straight in to the lens, you still get blacks.

My god. The way RED put a Nuclear reactor in a match box..... Cooke put an Angel in a thimble.

I love working with the Panchro's, they are dreamy set of glass...cooke looke and compact is the name of the game. I was testing for flares when I shot this and was quite happy...Timur and I have a great EPIC+Panchro package NYC if anyone is keen. Cheers.

Here's a few jpegs of Epic/Panchro combo...

MB20 for the most part, with an step down ring to 87mm for 25mm-100mm, and a 110 ring for the 18mm.

The rings are common at big houses who have Panchro/i's.... but can other-times be hard to find, since it's not a very common size... thus, donughts become your best friend. I really don't mind doughnuts, so it's no big deal either way.
