  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Epic/Scarlet Intake does it need a closer knit mesh ?

I believe the venting system is entirely separate from the rest of the components, It only cools down a large heatsink, and does not in fact circulate air within the delicate internal components of the camera. So sand would not be an issue with anything except for the fans in the cooling element itself. As you can see from my posts I'm not the most experienced on here, so I could be terribly wrong.

In addition to what was already said above, Jarred also mentioned that the sealed off fan/heatsink area will be easily user serviceable.

Good news for all of us working in dust/ocean/rain.

Better news for those of us who shoot motocross :D

On a side note, does anyone know if this is an exhaust or intake?

Here is Jarred's quote on this:

the openings are connected to a completely sealed system.. its a closed tube that uses forced air to cool heatsinks. The only thing exposed is the fans that blow the air.. and those are user cleanable and changeable.

Loving the sound of that here down under...
