HI
there is someone here that use the 21mm f 2.8 MMJ ? is it very good ? because prize I found for this lens is around 1500 usd?
what's the good buying prize for this lens ? it seems to be amazing more expensive than 28mm, someone know why ??
last week I bought a 85 1.4 MMJ and a 50mm MMJ so I want a lens wide open but I am scared that 28mm f 2.8 won't be wide enough for me
thanks to let me know

The screw thing, which David from Leitax warns about is the main reason I sent mine to Duclos. But also because after declicking you may need the proper greasing for the aperture ring.HI
here is the contax set I bought this last days,
85 f1.4 MMJ
50 f 1.4 MMJ
28 f 1.8 MMJ
I have decliked the 85 and 50 this morning, this is pretty easy to do no need to ask it do Duclos, you only need a good screw driver
Problem is that the 28mm screw are locked with glue so I destroyed 3 screw head and only one was realy easy to remove.
Someone know how to remove this screw? any idea ?
thanks
Excited to say I am dusting off the Contax AE set in 2 weeks to shoot a feature with. Haven't used them in a while and just had them tuned up at Duclous. Looking forward to playing with them again. Even went and picked up an 18 to fill out the set.
Yeah Nick, even cooler is I got a Leitax EF mount for my Alexa so will be using the Contax glass on that camera for the first time. Look forward to posting some frames.
Hi.
When i collected and de-clicked my contax set (after stumbling over this amazing thread), I also had a few screws that were stuck, and I picked up an extremely helpful tip somewhere deep inside the interwebs: Use a soldering iron to heat the tip of the screw first. When the screw is heated to a different temperature than the rest of the metal, it expands, and loosens. Using this tip, I managed to remove two screws I accidentally stripped the threads of, by just applying pressure downwards with a screwdriver after loosening. Now I heat every single small screw I come across, and I have never had a stuck one since! Highly recommended!
