Will there be an easy swappable mount?

a) between PL, Canon and Nikon?

b) only between Canon and PL?

c) also between Nikon and PL?

1. We don't know how long it'll take to swap mounts. Before the PL mount redesign, it seemed to be a little fiddly from my uneducated observations.

PL, Canon and Nikon - are you talking about:
1. Red PL mount, Birger Canon mount and Birger Nikon mount
or
2. Red PL mount, Birger Canon mount and Red Nikon mount?
or
3. Red PL mount, Birger Canon mount, and Nikon lenses attached to Birger Canon mount with Nikon -> Canon adapter?

Last time I checked Red was working on a dumb Nikon mount. And Birger was working on a "smart" Nikon mount, but it would arrive later, after their Canon mount. Your third option is to use an adapter such as the 16-9.net one - they used it to test the Nikon 14mm-24mm zoom on a Canon DSLR.

Does this help?

We can't answer how easy it will be to swap any of these mounts yet. Presumably the Nikon -> Canon adapter will make Nikon <-> Canon swapping pretty easy though?

Red PL mount (I)

future Birger PL mount (II)

Birger Canon mount (III)

Birger Nikon mount (IV)

Ahh, that would be option #4 then... the one I forgot!

EDIT:
4. Birger PL mount, Birger Canon mount, and Birger Nikon mount

Presumably it takes a while to swap between Red PL and Birger mount, or else Birger wouldn't:
a) have posted their poll asking how often people planned to swap mounts
b) be making a PL mount

My guess would be it would take a while to swap between Red PL and the Birger mounts, but that once Birger has PL, Canon and Nikon mounts, you could stay within their system and swapping would be easy?

I think that is correct.

As far as lens mounts go, I also suspect that switching between mounts will be a considerable PITA... I'd strongly advise keeping your eggs in one basket as far as lenses go.
PITA??..
